Glass and Fire!

The Smoky Mountain Firecrackers is a 501c3 organization of lampworkers from East Tennessee.  Our goals are to promote knowledge of lampworking in the Smoky Mountain area, to support the goals of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers, and to exchange information and knowledge among glass beadmakers and lampworkers.

While working toward our goals, we have a lot of fun along the way!  Our group represents a wide variety of skill levels and interests, and the time we spend together has enriched our beadmaking, and our lives.  Our meetings are casual and the knowledge sharing is priceless to anyone who wants to learn to express their creativity through the medium of glass beads.

We would welcome anyone from surrounding states to join our organization.  We meet every other month in either Knoxville or Crossville, and are open to other nearby locations if anyone would like to host a meeting.

For more details about the organization, our activities, and members, see the links at the left side of this page.  We welcome anyone with an interest in glass beads and lampworking.

We are proud to be an affiliated chapter of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers.
