Kathy Phillips
Kathy is Treasurer and a founding member of Smoky Mountain Firecrackers.
In 1974, Kathy walked into a shop called Beads and Feathers, and was hooked for life. She has been buying beads and creating jewelry since. Around 2005 she found the lampwork category on Ebay, and started a serious buying binge, which led her to take a lampwork class in 2007.
Kathy says she has learned so much by joining this terrific group of beadmakers. They are generous with their knowledge and fun to be around. They have been very encouraging too, regarding everyone's work and personal growth. She especially enjoys the challenges each meeting for the Chinese Auction beads.
